Trump knocks Time over 'super bad' photo with 'relatively good story about me'

President Trump criticized Time Magazine early Tuesday over its new cover photo of him, shot from below, so that his neck is featured prominently and light from the sun makes the wisps of hair above his forehead appear transparent.

The president, on his Truth Social platform, said that while the outlet’s story on his administration’s efforts to reach a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is “relatively good,” the cover photo “may be the Worst of All Time.”

“They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one,” Trump said of the photo. “Really weird! I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out. What are they doing, and why?”

The Oct. 10 story, written by Time correspondent Eric Cortellessa, details how Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and other administration officials worked to bring the two sides to the table.

It said the 20-point peace plan, which Trump initially proposed to Arab leaders at the United Nations General Assembly last month, may “become a signature achievement of Trump’s second term” and “mark a strategic turning point for the Middle East.”

On Monday, Israel and Hamas began to carry out phase one of the deal. Israel released over 1,900 Palestinian prisoners, while Hamas released all 20 living hostages. The terrorist group released four of the 28 bodies of deceased hostages, garnering criticism from their families for not releasing all of them.

Trump met with hostage families and spoke at the Israeli Knesset in Jerusalem on Monday, before attending a signing ceremony with world leaders in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
