Met Police Investigate Fire At Keir Starmer's London House

The Metropolitan Police are investigating a fire at Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s north London home in the early hours of Monday morning.

The Prime Minister’s front door was damaged, but no one inside the house was hurt. The street in the London borough of Camden was sealed off on Monday.

Starmer now lives in Downing Street after winning the general election in July. The Prime Minister has rented his north London house out since moving into No 10, according to reports. The home has been targeted by protesters since he moved to Downing Street.

In a statement on Monday, a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: “On Monday 12 May at 01:35hrs, police were alerted by the London Fire Brigade to reports of a fire at a residential address in north London.

“Officers attended the scene. Damage was caused to the property’s entrance, nobody was hurt. The fire is being investigated and cordons remain in place while enquiries continue.”
