Virat Kohli’s brother Vikas slams Rahul Vaidya for his remarks on star Indian cricketer

Virat Kohli’s brother Vikas slams Rahul Vaidya for his remarks on star Indian cricketer

In an age where social media interactions often spiral into full-blown controversies, the recent clash between singer Rahul Vaidya and cricketer Virat Kohli has grabbed considerable attention. The trigger? An accidental Instagram “like” by Virat on actress Avneet Kaur’s photo — which the cricketer later clarified was due to an algorithmic glitch. Yet, this minor digital misstep snowballed into drama after Vaidya mocked Virat and called him a “joker,” claiming he was blocked by the cricket star. While Virat chose not to comment further, his brother, Vikas Kohli, stepped in and slammed Vaidya for his insensitive and poorly timed remarks, especially with tensions running high due to the IndiaPakistan conflict.

Virat Kohli’s brother Vikas hits back at Rahul Vaidya terming him a ‘loser’

Vikas is no stranger to defending his younger brother in the public eye, and once again, he didn’t hold back. Taking to social media, Vikas lashed out at Vaidya, branding him disrespectful and tone-deaf. In a time when the nation is grappling with real concerns — including border tensions and political unrest — Vikas questioned the priorities of those using their platform to troll rather than uplift.

WHAT A LOSER…” Vikas ended his post, addressing Vaidya directly. He condemned the singer’s sarcastic jibe that implied Virat’s explanation about Instagram’s algorithm was laughable. Vikas reminded the public that even celebrities deserve privacy and understanding, especially when they clearly state there was no intent behind their actions. His defence wasn’t just about the incident; it was about standing up against a culture of instant mockery that has become far too common online.

Vaidya’s tongue in cheek humour attracts celebrity feud

What may have started as a tongue-in-cheek remark by Vaidya, quickly turned into a case study in how not to handle celebrity feuds. In a video riddled with mockery, Vaidya pretended to accept Virat’s explanation, sarcastically suggesting that the Instagram algorithm must have also decided to block him on Virat’s behalf. The clip didn’t sit well with fans, many of whom found it petty and opportunistic.

While humour and commentary are part and parcel of being a public figure, Vaidya’s tone seemed misplaced. Virat, known for maintaining grace under pressure, stayed silent — a decision that only emphasized the contrast between him and his detractor. Vikas’s intervention not only gave voice to many of Virat’s fans but also signalled that such personal attacks won’t go unchecked.
